Donation Information

Annual Fund

Support for the annual fund is the "first and most important" gift one can make to the Seminary. Annual fund gifts are applied immediately to the daily operations of Springfield Seminary and directly affect the things we care about most - providing a quality academic program, making tuition affordable for talented seminarians of diverse financial backgrounds and maintaining the require funds for rent/leased facilities until the finalized purchase of our permanent  campus location.

The annual fund goal for this fiscal year 2011 (July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012) is $100,000. Through your generosity and God's grace we will be able to meet this goal. Please give as generously as you are able. You may wish to consider a monthly gift, which can be automatically withdrawn from your bank account. Examples of what a monthly gift can accomplish are - $42.00 a month will provide the seminary with more than $500.00 in annual income or $84.00 a month will provide the Seminary with more than $1,000.00 in annual income and would be remarkable testaments of faith in the Springfield Seminary's future.

Endowment and Scholarship Giving

Springfield Seminary also relies on support beyond the Annual Fund. Endowed funds will ensure the future solvency of the Seminary on several fronts. The seminary endowments include the Springfield Seminary Endowment Fund, endowed scholarships, endowed faculty chairs and unrestricted endowment funds for capital projects such as the  library and Academic Department projects. The Seminary Endowment Fund is a modest but slowly growing permanent fund that will one day provide another income stream for the Seminary. The funds for endowed chairs and scholarships are also placed in the restricted endowments of the Seminary and will provide lasting resources for quality professorships and future Springfield Seminary students. You too may start building an endowment.

Springfield Seminary encourages you to consider endowing a scholarship or chair as follows:

  • A minimum contribution of $50,000
    for an Endowed Student Scholarship

  • A minimum contribution of $500,000
    for an Endowed Faculty Chair

You may take up to five years to complete payment of your pledge. Gifts for the Springfield Seminary endowments are invested and held in perpetuity. Only a portion of the interest earned is used to cover the cost of the item designated in an endowed gift.

Capital Projects

 Springfield Seminary Main Campus Project

"An invitation to make a difference...that will last a lifetime."

The vision of the new Springfield Seminary Main Campus  will facilitate Admission, Administration, Classrooms and Library for the Seminary and provide an opportunity for the students "formation for ministry". It will also provide seminary/church meeting space for public and private events and will be the first in a domino effect of new buildings on a proposed site. You can help make this happen.

LibraryLibrary

The Library is the intellectual center of a seminary and as Springfield Seminary grows, so must its library collection and the availability of its resources, both printed and electronic, because a theological seminary should also be a school of undergraduate education. A new library which can accommodate a growing, quality library collection is planned for the future.
Your support of funding a new library is critical.

Planned Giving

Important support to the Springfield Seminary receive in the future will come in the form of planned gifts that donors establish during their lifetime. Even donors of even modest means can make a significant gift to the seminary through a planned gift to Springfield Seminary. We celebrate and appreciate this legacy of faithful giving. There are a number of planned giving opportunities.

If you are interested in making a planned gift or have made a planned gift or estate bequest, please contact giving@springfieldseminary.org
